For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11 Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.... Luke 2:19
Many of you have asked for some of my music, soooo here it is....you are listening to
When you live in a place that is so breathtaking, just stepping outside can be inspiring. Watching the snow fall this morning as the sun gently rises over the mountains fills me with rejuvenation. My sweet treasures trodding downstairs one at a time as they awaken, all misty eyed, gives me immense joy. The deer, out since day break forging for acorns fills my eyes with childlike wonder. The doe I see every evening crossing through our wood lets me know me she is still around alive and well. Friends both near and far bring me comfort and my family accords me strength and hope. Sitting in our bedroom at night watching the snowfall and peering at the lights from Sugar Mountain.... so comforting... a light in the darkness. A live nativity swells my heart to overflowing with thankfulness. The Word of my heavenly Father which brings me peace and hope. All these are inspiration to this heart.
Mountain Man has had a couple of offers, but we are not yet sure which path we will take. We are waiting, praying and resting in Him. There is no need to hurry when He is keeping us. We know He has plans for us. (Jer. 29:11). I can not tell you how comforting your emails and comments have been...I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers. Please know we are doing fine, resting and waiting on Him! We have had some interest in the Little Cabin and pray the future owner will enjoy it as much as we have. It is also being shown again today ~ the third time this week. We put a lot of heart into this home to create a place where one can come to find rest and feel peace. Our children have had many adventures in the woods and playing in our stream discovering wonderful treasures. ;) We feel quite lucky to have lived here and it will be hard to leave. But seeing it go to family who will enjoy it will make it easier.
Thanksgiving took us to a breathtaking estate of yesteryear decorated to overflowing with seasonal delights. We supped on savory roasted duck, tender farm raised beef and a scrumptious squash bisque. Oh my, it was delicious. Our travels then took us down south...to a place winter has passed by, where the girls enjoyed running in the green grass, searching for pine cones and taking walks with their Mimi. We always look forward to returning home however, to our Little Cabin in the Woods.... a true inspiration to our heart and soul.
How in the world did my mother get her hair so perfect? I sure didn't inherit that from her.
Please stop growing....
Stop I say!
Please stop picking tiny berries off Mimi and Papa's bushes... :)
Surly they won't mind only three... ;o)
We ventured out this blustery, snowy day in search for the perfect Christmas tree. You won't see tree lots here as the Christmas tree farms are in abundance everywhere you go... just choose and cut ! We take pleasure in letting the girls pick out that special tree of the year for our family. It is not usually the one we would choose ;), but they delight in making this grand decision. This is Willow's first Christmas and I could see the questionable look on her face as we ooh'd, ahh'd and pointed while her sisters shook their shot off ,dashing in and out of the trees in a game of hide and seek... what an inspiration to watch them in this dance of life. We then loaded up our tree taking it home where we decorated it quite simply... Jesus was laid in a simple manger in a stable. On the way home we made our regular stop to the General store for some goodies, little eyes spying all sorts of delicious treats and dandies. Our days have been filled with music and secrets.... shhhhh
so many choices, so much time... take your time and enjoy life!
My little tree huggers. Willow: "What are they doing? Strange, very strange"

You can only have 1 piece. ( just kidding)
The girls and I received a delightful surprise in the mail from a sweet friend who lovingly knitted socks and head covers for each of the girls! How their little eyes shone when they opened the box and discovered these unexpected gifts. There was even a lovely blue and white hat and scarf for me inside! Clara, you are full of sweetness and inspire me so.

I hope your heart has been filled seeing our journey this past month. It has been an inspiring season this year.... one of surprises and joy. How blessed we are to have the freedom to serve our Lord but remembering His most precious gift ~ Jesus. Our family is reading the historic story of Chrsitmas from the book of Luke as we do each season. I hope to fully concentrate on Him as He truly is my complete inspiration in life.
P.S. Willow has the chicken pox... when it rains it pours... such is life. lol
