Being musicians we hold a great attachment and appreciation for good music as it is daily a part of our lives. Coming from a family of musicians and having a mother that was/is a pianist I am especially drawn to piano composers. I get so many emails asking about the music.... So, I would like to share another piano composer (besides my mommy ;) I love. His name is Yiruma, and you are listening to his delicious music right now. The delicate caress of Yiruma's fingers on the keys bring out emotions of the heart that are endearing to the soul. Thirty year old Yiruma, from South Korea, was raised in England and began playing when he was 5 years old. In one article he told the reporter “I’m Christian, and I am not a New-age artist. Most people misunderstand me.” All I know is that his music just may be a taste of heaven here on earth.
I have several pianist I really enjoy listening to regularly. Yiruma, David Nevue (whom I have written about here) and Makoto Ozone being two of them.
From my mother's womb, music has always been a part of my everyday life. Daily she filled our home and many other places with the pleasant sounds of her fingers brushing the keys. Now I pass that on to my children. I only hope you are blessed by the music here.... What is your favorite music?
